Joel Settembrini is a trial lawyer and counselor with 39 years of experience in handling sophisticated commercial matters. He practices in the areas of eminent domain, commercial litigation, mediation, and real estate litigation.
In his eminent domain practice, Joel has represented landowners and condemning authorities in both state and federal courts. With decades of experience, Joel has handled some of the largest eminent domain cases in Florida history. He is known for his depth of knowledge and analytical abilities, as well as his thoughtful approach to each individual matter.
In his mediation practice, Joel brings an even-handed analytical approach to the mediation of commercial and real estate disputes. This includes eminent domain, boundary disputes, title issues, and other real estate matters.
Before joining the firm, he was employed for over 25 years as a lawyer and partner at one of the preeminent commercial litigation firms in Florida, and before that, he was employed for four years with the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service.
Joel and his wife of 43 years have three grown children.
