Travase L. Erickson

About

Travase Erickson is a shareholder with the firm. He practices primarily in the areas of medical malpractice, insurance defense, general civil litigation, and appellate law. Travase has extensive courtroom experience, including the successful defense of the firm’s clients at trial and multiple appellate proceedings before the First and Fifth District Courts of Appeal.

In his medical malpractice work, Travase represents hospitals, physician practice groups, physicians individually named in lawsuits, office practices, nurses, and other hospital professionals in a wide range of areas including:

• Labor and delivery cases, including the preliminary administrative actions involving Petitions for Benefits under Florida’s Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Association Plan (NICA),
• Perinatal and neonatal medicine, including the representation of obstetricians, pediatricians, and neonatologists,
• Emergency medicine, including pediatric and adult emergency medicine,
• Inpatient medical care and treatment by nurses, hospitalists and other consulting physicians, including cardiologists, internal medicine, emergency medicine physicians, infectious diseases, anesthesiologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, gastroenterologists, nephrologists, and others,
• Family practice medicine,
• Radiologists and radiology technicians,
• Operating room Practitioners, including cardiologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNAs and other members of the operating room staff,
• Ophthalmology,
• Administrative and other issues of alleged non-clinical negligence by hospitals, and
• Department of Health licensure and disciplinary investigations.

Travase and his wife both attended Jacksonville University and now enjoy calling Jacksonville home. They are proud parents of three young children who keep them very busy.
