Joe Stokes is a shareholder with the firm, practicing in the areas of general civil litigation, premises liability, professional liability, and retail and hospitality. An AV Preeminent rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, Joe has extensive jury trial experience defending companies in personal injury actions.

He has practiced in the area of insurance defense for more than 25 years, representing both insurance and self-insured companies in cases involving auto accidents, pharmacy malpractice, slip and falls, trucking accidents, negligent security, products liability, amusements park accidents, and an array of other issues that result in liability claims, including wrongful death cases. Joe’s proven experience and attentiveness to the needs of clients have led to long-term relationships with regional and national retail and hospitality chains.

Joe also presents educational sessions on the premises liability issues to retail and hospitality related companies.

A native of Jacksonville, Joe is an avid runner and has successfully completed several marathons, including the New York City Marathon. When he’s not running, he enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering, and traveling.
